  Really good BBQ. The hush puppies are fantastic and the pulled pork is how it ought to be. I was recommended this place by a friend and I will be back at the next opportunity. Not a huge parking lot, so get there early.

  Pros:  it's fast, cheap, and the food is ok.  Cons:  lots of fat left in the bbq.  If you're a bbq connoisseur then you'll probably be disappointed.
  
  You can get a decent meal here, but I've never really understood the local hype.  The bbq is just ok and very fatty.  People seem to love it though, so maybe I just haven't tried the right items.

  The last time I had Peck's they were in Waynesboro probably 15 years ago.  This is my first visit to their Staunton location.  Not much has changed over the years, bbq is great and the vinegar based table sauce really add to the flavor.  Most of us had bbq and fries with white slaw but a co-worker had the chicken with hushpuppies.  All was delicious.  It's a little dingy inside but the food makes up for the housekeeping.  I hope I get back more often.  They are located on the edge of town so not very convenient for me for lunch but I'm glad we made the drive today.

  The food: 5 stars. (the soup, the ribs, unbelievable)
  The signage: 1 star. Super confusing and none of it was accurate.
  The ambiance: nope. It's a dive. But hey, that's what I expected, and all I care about is food. Reasonably priced and seriously, I wish we could have gone back the next day. Worth the trip.

  We were Yelping BBQ places to stop for lunch when we came across Pecks. It's right off the highway and really easy to find. Definitely a local favorite because it was open for maybe 20 mins and already packed. Traffic in and out moves quickly so a table opened up in no time  -- they even had a drive thru!
  
  Nothing super fancy, just a couple tables and white boards with specials. The staff greeted us promptly and were very warm and welcoming though!
  
  My boyfriend and I each got a chopped pork sandwich, which was wonderful. You can really taste the smokiness from the wood chips! Very moist! They had two sauces available -- one was sweet and the other spicy. I needed up mixing both together, which I highly recommend. We both got combos, so our sandwich came with a side and drink for $5.99. I got hush puppies and he ordered fries -- both really good! Pretty sure the tea is homemade, so that's a plus!
  
  Great experience! If we visit the area again, I would visit again if we were in the area!
